Online Concerts

The EUROMUSE online concerts presented the world premieres of original synomusic compositions created for partner museums in Italy, Greece and Portugal. Each concert connected composers, museum audiences and online viewers through live-streamed performances, public screenings and conversations with the artists.

Developed through residencies, curatorial exchange, Community Muse Board feedback and the Synomusic® methodology, the online concert series introduced new applied music works designed for specific museum spaces, collections and audiences.

World Premiere of Synomusic for Explora Museum in Rome

The first EUROMUSE online concert presented original synomusic created for Explora – Il Museo dei Bambini di Roma, connecting the museum audience with the composers through a live online event and public screening.

About the concert

The Explora concert launched original museum music created for a children’s museum environment. The event combined live online performance, museum screening and conversation with the composers.

The works were developed for a learning-oriented museum context, exploring how sound can support attention, participation, curiosity and visitor engagement.

World Premiere of Synomusic at the Kotsanas Museum of Ancient Greek Technology

The second EUROMUSE online concert presented new synomusic compositions created for the Kotsanas Museum of Ancient Greek Technology in Athens.

About the concert

The Kotsanas concert connected ancient Greek technology, contemporary composition and museum interpretation through live online presentation and interaction with the composers.

The compositions were developed after the artistic residency in Athens and were designed specifically for the museum’s exhibitions, spaces and audiences.

Synomusic for Museu de Arte Pré-Histórica e do Sagrado no Vale do Tejo, Mação

The third EUROMUSE online concert presented the premiere of synomusic compositions created for the Mação museum and its prehistoric and sacred landscape.

About the concert

The Mação concert presented new synomusic works created for the Museu de Arte Pré-Histórica e do Sagrado no Vale do Tejo and its wider prehistoric and sacred landscape.

The event connected the online premiere with the museum audience in Mação, making the compositions part of a shared listening, interpretative and community-oriented cultural experience.

About the EUROMUSE Online Concert Series

The EUROMUSE online concerts were conceived as digital and public-facing project outputs, presenting original synomusic works beyond the museum space while also connecting them back to live museum audiences. The series strengthened the visibility of the project, supported dissemination through YouTube and museum screenings, and demonstrated how applied music can become a meaningful interpretative layer in museums.
