The EUROMUSE project recently convened in Mação, Portugal, for a dynamic research training session and partners’ meeting, gathering collaborators from Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Serbia. This event marked another important step in EUROMUSE’s mission to connect music, museums, and communities across Europe.
The research training focused on the next phases of the project’s international research activities. Participants reflected on the outcomes and insights gained from the recent composer residencies, which saw six young composers creating original music for museum spaces in Rome, Athens, and Mação. The session also addressed strategies for deepening engagement with participating museums and the Community Muse Board (CMB) groups, which play a key role in shaping both research and creative processes.
The meeting fostered an inspiring atmosphere of knowledge exchange, collaboration, and creative idea-sharing among the project’s international partners. By uniting expertise in music, museology, and audience engagement, the EUROMUSE team continues to break new ground in the field of applied music for museums.
Stay tuned for more updates as EUROMUSE continues its journey, bringing innovative synocompositions and participatory practices to cultural institutions across Europe.
