The EUROMUSE project recently hosted a comprehensive training program for its six selected composers, focusing on the art and methodology of applied music for museums. Spanning three intensive sessions, the training equipped the composers with the knowledge and skills needed to create transformative musical experiences within museum environments.

Throughout the sessions, the composers explored:

  • The unique methodology of composing applied music for museums
  • Techniques for writing music tailored to specific museum spaces and exhibits
  • Ways to shape narratives and guide visitor journeys through sound and music
  • Strategies for adapting compositions to different spatial acoustics
  • Approaches to creating immersive experiences that connect artifacts, spaces, and audiences

The training was led by a distinguished team of mentors: Aleksandar Vl. Marković, Misha Cvijović, and Kostas Moschos, all recognized experts in the fields of music composition, applied music, and cultural innovation.

With this foundation, the composers are now prepared to begin their residencies and creative work in museums across Europe. Their unique journey promises to redefine how visitors experience museums—through the power of music.

Stay tuned for more updates as EUROMUSE continues to blend creativity, research, and public engagement!
