EUROMUSE International Scientific Conference in Belgrade

On 25–26 April 2026, Belgrade will host the EUROMUSE International Scientific Conference, “Museums, Music, and Audiences: Towards Inclusive and Data-Informed Cultural Practice,”dedicated to exploring how music and sound can transform the experience of museums, exhibitions, and cultural heritage.

The conference will bring together 50 international experts and professionals from 25 European countries in the fields of museology, music, sound studies, psychology, communications, and cultural studies. The programme will focus on the use of original music in museum spaces, the impact of sound on visitors’ emotions and movement, the development of inclusive and accessible content, and new cultural practices based on audience research.

The final results of the international EUROMUSE project will also be presented in Belgrade, connecting artistic creation, museum practice, and scientific research, and building on the pioneering study conducted by the Center for Applied Music from Belgrade in 2021 at the Museum of Science and Technology.

The conference will take place at three venues: on 25 April at the Faculty of Media and Communications; on 26 April in the morning at the Museum of Science and Technology; and on 26 April in the afternoon at the Ethnographic Museum.

The conference is organised by the Center for Applied Music (CAM) and EARTH PR, and is held within the framework of the international EUROMUSE project, co‑funded by the European Union through the Creative Europe programme.

The conference is supported by the French Institute in Serbia, Instituto Camões (Portugal), the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade, Visaris, and Unibrand.
