At Explora – Il Museo dei Bambini di Roma, the Community Muse Board (CMB) is bringing together a vibrant mix of musicologists, educators, cultural professionals, and passionate museum visitors. United by their curiosity and creativity, the CMB is playing a pivotal role in shaping the EUROMUSE project’s musical journey in Rome.
This gathering marked the first meeting between the CMB members and the composers in residence, John Konsolakis (Greece) and Maia Steinberg (The Netherlands). The session opened a dynamic space for shared creativity and exchange, fostering a collaborative spirit at the very heart of the museum.
During the meeting, participants listened to early musical sketches crafted by the composers and engaged in an open dialogue, sharing impressions, ideas, and feedback. These insights are now guiding the next steps of the creative process, ensuring that the final compositions resonate with the museum’s community and its youngest visitors.
This is co-creation in action—where audience voices directly shape the artistic process. And for EUROMUSE in Rome, it’s just the beginning.
